Been awhile since I’ve updated on here. Then again with the absence of LAN’s why would I update? Anyways, no I’m not updating to announce the attempt of a LAN. Free time has been non-existent for me and the interest in playing has been nil.  Everyone seems to have lost their interest and I can see why. Why should you pack all your stuff up to only play a nights worth of Halo and then drag it all back when you could stay home and play there? In the old days it was because no one had high speed internet and we generally had a blast getting together and fragging each other. I will miss the atmosphere and the good times but all good things must end. Instead of just letting the site drift into limbo; like I had been doing, I’m going to be posting tutorials, demonstrations, and the like on the two newest binge games I’ve gotten into, Left 4 Dead and Halo Wars. I’ve shot the video and plan to add commentary and upload them soon.

As I have stated in the past, I have been getting a lot of traffic and correspondences/requests from other LAN’s, groups, and the general public. Generally it’s been a good thing, making ties with other groups, building a community, things like that. But lately it’s been from the wannabe MLG ‘Pros’ with no MLG experience at all looking to get sponsorship or tournament wins from my site. I realize many of them are young and want to get noticed and succeed and it’s nice to have a dream and work toward it, but the increasing amount of ‘teams’ looking for sponsorship and/or tournament wins - which I’ve had no tournaments since the beginning months of the LAN - is just getting absurd. I’d love to have a tournament for all those asking but considering their… lack of age, time, and most likely transportation - many would have their parents drive them - I can’t really expect much. As for sponsorship, I don’t bring in lots of money doing the LAN; it’s a hobby basically and personally I’m not swimming in money either. I appreciate the interest and all it’s just become way too extreme.

Yo, just got back from the LAN and because I worked 3rd shift all week my sleeping pattern is all awry so, I decided to post about the insane speed in which I got my 360 back. It arrived Thursday evening. It only took 15 days to get there and back and works perfectly so far. Despite having to call twice to get the shipping box [blame India] I’m rather happy with the whole process. As for the LAN, it went well tonight and as for next weeks, so far it’s on but call for confirmation on Saturday.

Another decent LAN last night. As for the sale of Xbox 360’s… We’re down to only one left! So if you want one better speak up fast. I am also going to sell my old PC that I recently reformatted for $300. It’s a 2.2Ghz H-T Intel, 512MB RAM, 256MB Radeon Graphics Card, DVD+-RW & DVD-ROM and more. Here’s some pictures of it: 1 2 3. I am thinking about getting some extra XBOX 360’s for people to use. I will rent them/rent to own/sell them because, they ain’t cheap and it’s a good way for people to slowly acquire a Xbox. If your interested let me know. So far I might be getting 1-2 as a deal. We also had a decent LAN last night. Had a lot fun despite being a box down and as for that, I’m still waiting on the ‘free paid postage shipping box.’

My Xbox 360 finally got the RROD. Disappointing but, it actually had a good run considering it was a launch day model. Hell, it even outlasted the 2 launch PS2’s I got years back.

Had a special LAN last night for my cousin Jed who turned 20 last night. Surprisingly a large number showed AGAIN. Would be very nice if this trend continues to happen. I also have been invited to a LAN in Adams County. I’m thinking of maybe going and was wondering who else would like to attend. Details are on their page. A very select few chose to grace us with their presence last night. A few called off, others had work,  and some said they were coming and didn’t even show. Given it was homecoming night and I didn’t even know until halfway thru the night, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised but it is kinda annoying to have the same things that happened last year start happening now. For those who actually showed up when you said you would, I appreciate it. For the others, It just reinforces my thoughts from my last post. Going to try again this week and if the same thing happens I guess it’s going to reliable invite only.

Updated to wordpress. Liking it so far. Still gotta do the cosmetic touches but that’s for later and… oh yeah… H3 is five days away.
